Friday evening the teens had a fun activity of miniature golf. There was a great turn out of about forty teens. Everyone had a wonderful time as the FBC youth group practically took over the golf course at Ella Sharp Park! The teens divided into groups of four or five and contested together. Everyone enjoyed the evening, though some appeared to hit more balls out of the putting area than in the hole. In the end the winning score went to Elliot Hitt at thirty-eight strokes and the losing score (who we will leave anonymous) was 77.
After everyone finished the eighteen hole course, the teens headed to Pastor’s house for a cookout and time of fellowship.
To conclude the evening, everyone gathered together around the camp fire as we had a devotional and time of singing. Ben White did an excellent job as he exhorted and taught the teen’s from Luke 12:34 which states: “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
The miniature golf activity was a great way for all the teens to enjoy each other’s fellowship. When Ben asked the group if they had fun; the teens responded enthusiastically “let’s do it again next year!” It definitely was an enjoyable evening not only of miniature golfing but of hearing a message from God’s Word, which always brings everyone together as one unified group. This is what true fellowship is all about.
